Cloud Poodll for Atto : History

Cloud Poodll for Atto already packs a lot of functionality into a tiny interface. But recently it received a whole new tab, History. In addition to the existing record, upload and options tabs, history keeps a record of each recording a user makes. When they return to Cloud Poodll for Atto, their recording is displayed in a searchable list with the most recent recordings at the top of the list. Now the user can review previous recordings from one central location. And they can re-use previously made recordings in different locations. Clicking the file’s title allows you to change it […]

ReadAloud exciting new features arrive

ReadAloud Introduces New Features   One of our most popular plugins, ReadAloud, has received a suite of new features, many of them asked for by the community of Poodll users. Since it first appeared more than five years ago, this oral reading plugin has steadily attracted a band of loyal followers. With these followers has come a steady stream of requests for added functionality that would take the plugin from “useful” to “indispensable”. It was great to see how Poodll is being used, and to introduce it to people in person. This is two of us at the Moot in Melbourne. We also saw the arrival on the Moodle plugins directory of four new Poodll offerings. The first three are Cloud Poodll plugins Cloud Poodll Recording Question Cloud […]

Read Aloud going ESL

One of the projects we’ve been putting a lot of our time and energy into recently is our reading assessment and progress monitoring plugin, Read Aloud. Until now, relatively few attempts have been made within Moodle (or any other learning management system) to support the development of reading skills. Existing solutions, such as Moodle Reader, are more accountability tools than an effort to capture and analyse the act of reading. […]
