Last week (March 19th, 2017) we quietly released MS Edge support in Poodll 3 for HTML5 audio recording. This means that if your site is running under an HTTPS url, you can now record audio in pure HTML5 from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and MS Edge.
As usual you will need to grant the browser permission to access your webcam/microphone. Natively MS Edge records to wav file format. This is uncompressed audio and not really suitable for the web. So be sure to enable Poodll cloud recording, to convert the wav files to MP3.
Because MS Edge does not yet fully implement an HTML5 technology called “MediaRecorder API,” currently video recording is not supported.
