I just added an updated version to the downloads section and out Mercurial/Git repositories. Apart from some bug fixes the main thing is some new features
PoodLL Recording Question
The PoodLL Recording question now takes a time limit parameter. You could already do this in the assignment submission type, but now you can do it in the question too.
FFMPEG
If you have checked “Convert uploaded media with FFMPEG ” in the PoodLL filter settings, it will now use FFMPEG to generate the video splash screens. This is generally better than using tokyo.poodll.com, because we can generate splash images for videos uploaded by you and users. There have also been a few bug fixes related to FFMPEG conversion of audio files too.
Javascript Whiteboards
We have integrated two javascript whiteboards into PoodLL, LiterallyCanvas and DrawingBoard.js . So it is now possible to collect whiteboard submissions from users of tablets and smartphones. There is still some work to do here, so in the next few releases look out for more goodness. You should choose your desired whiteboard from the list of three in the PoodLL filter settings. Currently only DrawingBoard.js and the PoodLL whiteboard support saving with a background image. You will need to size your image correctly for DrawingBoard.js because unlike the PoodLL whiteboard it won’t stretch it to fit. Literally Canvas still needs a little work before it can be used well on mobile devices.
You can download it from the download section or via Git. It is won’t be on Moodle.org for a week or so.
