Cloud Poodll for TinyMCE is an audio and video recorder for Moodle. Unlike its older brother Poodll, Cloud Poodll has no dependencies and can be installed independently. The recordings are stored in the cloud and it is also possible to upload media files by choosing them or by dragging and dropping them onto the uploader. Recordings and uploads can optionally be automatically subtitled in several languages. Administrators can choose from recorder skins, and use Moodle capabilities to control the display of icons.
You can try Cloud Poodll for TinyMCE now on our demo site. Use the button below to open a demo forum activity in a new tab. You will be automatically logged in as a student.
Cloud Poodll for TinyMCE Features
Record Audio and Video
Record audio and video using Poodll recorders direct into the Moodle HTML areas. Rely on Poodll’s backend to ease the load on your servers and student browsers.
Upload Audio and Video
You can drag and drop files from your desktop to Cloud Poodll and they will be processed and stored as though you had recorded them. It’s better than having a Moodle Youtube (well ...we think so)
Poodll can auto caption your audio and video recordings or uploads. It supports English, Spanish, Italian and French. Our subtitle editor for TinyMCE will be here soon. Until then please use our Atto Subtitle Editor
Moodle Permissions Support
It is possible to set the user roles that can see each of the buttons on the Cloud Poodll for Atto toolbar. This means, for example, that it is possible to allow teachers the ability to record video, but not students. And to loosen that restriction if desired, at the course and even the activity level.
Cloud Storage of Recordings
Your recordings are stored in the Poodll cloud. This means that your backup files stay small, and you do not need to worry about storage capacity.
Not satisfied, with a one size fits all recorder? Neither are we. We give you choices on the recorder you use, what it looks like and how it behaves.
