We have been asked quite a lot recently about our plans for supporting Moodle 2.0
Well this last week we attended the Moodle Moot in Kochi Prefecture here in Japan.
We met a bunch of interesting people doing amazing things with Moodle. It was really inspirational and gave us a great rev. up. We were also lucky enough to get some time with Martin Dougiamas to talk about Moodle and Video.
The upshot of all of this is that we have decided there is not much point doing further development on the existing PoodLL until we have got it working on Moodle 2.0 . This is because some things that are quite central to PoodLL have changed a lot in Moodle 2.0 . And some features of Moodle 2.0 make integration with PoodLL even easier than it is now. We are quite excited about it.
When is it going to be ready? Hard to say exactly. We are starting work on it immediately. And while we hope to use it ourselves in the April – July semester, for mainstream users, it is probably more reasonable to expect a May – June release.
Let us know if you plan to use it on Moodle 2.0, and we will keep you informed of progress.
