Poodll cloud notifications arrive

Well this should make a few people happy ……

For all those people who struggle with getting cron to behave, we released a version of the Poodll filter this evening (Version 3.0.40) which includes Poodll cloud notifications. This means that instead of waiting for cron to run and check for completed file conversions, your Moodle server will get a ping when a file is ready to be downloaded.

In simple terms, the dreaded “Poodll is converting your …” message is largely a thing of the past. You will need the latest version of the Poodll filter and you should make sure that you also use the new “refreshing players.”
