In January of 2013 I was asked to make an assignment submission plugin for Moodle that could handle uploads of 1 hour long video sermons, with file sizes possibly exceeding 1 GB.
We decided to use YouTube as the backend for this system and to incorporate the ability to record from webcam, or choose from pre existing videos also. (more…)
Kitami Institute of Technology wanted a way for their teachers and students to pool their PDF annotations in Moodle wikis and forums for collaboration purposes.
After consultation and analysis I wrote a tool that would reconstruct annotations exported from the Skim PDF annotation tool, via the TinyMCE html editor.

The British Council of Hong Kong wanted a lightweight portfolio system in Moodle that would allow students to export items from multiple courses to a single location.
After discussions on the best way to do this, we settled on using Moodle’s blog functionality and the plugin was developed as the “Blog Export Portfolio”
